WITH THE UNDERSTANDING
Ps 47:7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. And, 1Co 14:15 ¶ What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
WITH THE SOUL
Ps 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
WITH THE WHOLE HEART
Ps 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
WITH THE LIPS
Ps 63:3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
WITH THE MOUTH
Ps 51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
WITH JOY
Ps 63:5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
WITH GLADNESS
2Ch 29:30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
WITH THANKFULNESS
Ps 147:7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
CONTINUALLY
Ps 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
TO THE END OF LIFE
Ps 104:33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
MORE AND MORE
Ps 71:14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD FOR ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING
The true Christian is one who can trust and praise the Lord EVEN through blinding tears. It should be enough to know that God plans and doeth all things well!
